Welcome to the Young People in Recovery (YPR) Los Angeles West Chapter. Established in October 2024, our chapter is a dynamic and growing community dedicated to supporting individuals in all stages of recovery. We offer a welcoming and inclusive space for people of all ages, recovery pathways, and backgrounds to connect, engage, and be celebrated. Our mission is to enhance the recovery journey by providing various opportunities for involvement and connection. We look forward to meeting you!
At YPR, we envision a world where all individuals have access to the resources and support they need to thrive in recovery from substance use disorders. All of YPR’s services are offered at no cost to individuals in recovery, those seeking recovery, and allies of the recovery community.
Our programs and events include:
All Recovery Meetings
These meetings are open to individuals in recovery, as well as their allies, providing a space for mutual support, empowerment, and compassion. We welcome anyone, regardless of their recovery pathway, to attend and find encouragement.
Pro-Social Events
We host a variety of in-person and virtual events, including full moon hikes, movie nights, game nights, and our annual river rafting trip. We encourage new event ideas and welcome input from our members.
Life Skills Training Workshops
Our Phoenix and My Future is EPIC 10-week curriculum offers recovery-centered life skills training to help participants build the tools necessary for long-term success in recovery.
Harm Reduction Education
We provide training on recognizing and responding to overdose situations, including how to administer Narcan. We also offer free access to Narcan, Fentanyl Testing Strips, and other harm reduction supplies.
